SG-2020 APRIL UPDATE SG-2020... on the way to Europe!

Our European friends and customers will be glad to hear that the new SG-2020 transceiver has been successfully tested and approved for export to all Common Market European countries.

New large-volume orders for European dealers will be scheduled for delivery in June - July. Smaller quantities will be shipped sooner for earlier delivery.

In the last 30 days, the SG-2020 has been extensively mobile - tested in several different vehicles. Pictured above is the SG-2020 mounted in a Jeep Grand Cherokee, in conjuction with the QMS-7 antenna system. The new SG-2020 was recently evaluated by some of our toughest critics -- our commercial and amateur radio dealers in various parts of the world. SPECIFICATION UPDATES Updated March 30, 1998

Enhanced Performance Specifications:

Frequency stability has been improved 3-fold, from 10 ppm per 10º C to just 3 ppm! For example, see specifications below.
Operational temperature range form -30 -to +70º C
Nominal AF output is 1 watt RMS
AF distortion at nominal output power is less than 3%
Receiver will now operate down to 400 KHz to allow NAVTEX and broadcast reception with optional broadcast filter bypassed

Front panel controlled digital
Lock-out feature for non-professional and casual operation
Frequency scan with adjustments for dwell, frequency step and pause
Nominal AF output is 1 watt RMS
AF distortion at nominal output power is less than 3%
Standby current consumption is less than 430 mA
